Marketing students earn second spot in national sales competition

Appalachian State University students competed in the National Shore Sales Challenge, March 31 - April 2 at Salisbury University.

Student competitors from universities across the country competed in a role-play and speed-selling competition, and App State came away with a 2nd place overall in the role play competition, with Sam Gagnon beating out all but one of the 75 student competitors.

Gagnon's teammates who also well-represented App State are Peyton Cornett, Faith Dymek and Nicole Tiseo.

Sam Cheatham served as their student coach, and professors Bonnie Guy and James Fyles mentored the students.

The National Shore Sales Challenge is hosted by the Mid-Atlantic Sales and Marketing Institute (MASMI) at Salisbury University. Learn more at salisbury.edu.
