Marketing students earn top two spots in national 'cold calling' competition

Senior Justice Mapp and Sophomore Kenley Cannon, marketing students in Appalachian State University's Walker College of Business, have earned the top two spots in the Collegiate Sales Society (CSS) 2023 Spring Cold Calling Competition.

CSS is a national collegiate sales organization that aims to create lifelong leaders through sales education, networking and career opportunities.

The Cold Calling Competition, which took place virtually on April 12, is one way CSS cultivates sales skills.

Mapp also recently earned the President's Award for Special Merit - Innovation for her work with App State's Gamma Xi chapter of Pi Sigma Epsilon, a professional business fraternity in the fields of sales, marketing and management.
