Biographic Profile

James E. Stoddard (Ph.D., Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University 1994), Professor and Chair of the Department of Marketing & Supply Chain Management in the Walker College of Business at Appalachian State University.  Professor Stoddard’s recent research includes digital marketing, consumer hoarding during the pandemic and the psychometric assessment of measurement scales.  His research has appeared in the International Journal of Logistics Systems and ManagementThe Journal of Business Performance and Supply Chain Modeling, The Journal of Wine Research, the Journal of Applied Marketing Theory, the International Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Administration, the Atlantic Marketing Journal, the Cornell Hotel and Restaurant Administration Quarterly, the Journal of Selling and Major Account Management, the Journal of Marketing Channels, the Journal of Arts ManagementTourism Economics, the Marketing Management Journal, Psychology & Marketing, among other articles and conference proceedings.  He mostly teaches Marketing Strategy & Applications at the graduate level.
