Department of Marketing & Supply Chain Management

I am an Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management, where I teach courses in marketing with focused interest in sales management, and professional selling. Achieving my goal of retiring from management at age 50 from Medtronic in 2021, I now have accepted a role teaching at ASU in the Walker College of Business. My career includes sales and leadership / management roles with two Fortune 100 firms, Ikon, and most recently, Medtronic, where I retired after almost 19 years of service leading among other assignments, a regional sales team managing at $28 million book of Medtronic's surgical device business on the east coast of the US. I have built and led inclusive and diverse sales teams capturing new business in intensive competitive assignments with a broad management and leadership history of effective recruiting, hiring, and coaching highly impactful sales teams, driving strong cultures of performance through diversity, establishing a culture of performance expectations, and collaboration, while achieving low turnover. With nearly 30 years of Fortune 100 company experience as a strategic leader with proven, consistent, national-leading sales team performance above expectations, I seek to develop and enable students for success in their chosen careers.

Graduating from AppState in 1994, with a BSBA / concentration in marketing, I am currently pursuing my MBA from ASU with completion fall of 2023, my overall goal is to use the experience I have gained over several decades of a successful career in industry and combine with a passion for teaching to enable students to attain the highest level of success in their careers. With my experience in undergraduate business work at ASU, I had numerous mentors that helped shape and position me for a successful career, which has brought me back full circle to the institution I love, to use what I have learned and experienced to give back and position students for future success.
