After 30+ years of leading sales and business development teams, Matt Martella entered the next phase of his career journey which includes working with business, sales, and marketing majors at App State University. Matt always had the goal of teaching and coaching at a university to share the many lessons he learned through a career that experienced working in the advertising, digital media and high-tech sectors.
Prior to joining the teaching staff at App State, Matt spent the final 12 years of his career in the digital marketing and advertising world. At Zeta Global (NYSE: Zeta), Matt was a Divisional President overseeing P&L growth from $40M to $120M in revenue and experienced taking a company public on the New York Stock Exchange.
Prior to Zeta, Matt held a sales leadership role at Publicis (PUBGY), one of the largest advertising holding companies in the world. During his tenure, his team grew revenues from $150M - $450M and was instrumental in selling the company three times during a 7-year period. Matt also worked for several tech startups in the Silicon Valley and large Fortune 50 organizations (Verizon and UPS).
Matt holds an MBA in Marketing from Golden Gate University in San Francisco and graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. Mary’s College of California with a B.S. in Business and minor in Economics.
