Why Supply Chain Management?
Supply Chain Management is a rapidly evolving field. The different functional areas within SCM, including logistics, distribution, procurement, and manufacturing are requiring more technologically savvy employees with the business knowledge of a great leader. The synergy between SCM and other functional business areas makes supply chain an exciting career.
Supply Chain Management, BSBA
Appalachian offers a major in Supply Chain Management to prepare professionals who can contribute to organizational success through various aspects of supply chain management – including procurement, sourcing, logistics, manufacturing, distribution and quality management.
With the increasing complexity and globalization of supply chains, the demand for supply chain professionals is growing. Many industries are reporting significant shortages in talent, and this program will prepare you to help fill these economic needs.
Minor In Supply Chain Management
The Supply Chain Management minor is available to all majors, both business and non-business, with the exception of Supply Chain Management majors. The minor provides a multi-disciplinary curriculum in supply chain management.
