Trent Arrowood is a part-time Adjunct Lecturer within the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management in the Walker College of Business (WCOB) at Appalachian State University.  Trent joined the App State community as an undergraduate student in the fall of 1998. As a student, Trent served the Appalachian community as a Student Ambassador giving tours for prospective students, worked with the Office of Admissions, the Office of Alumni Affairs, the Office of the Chancellor and worked to further University Partnerships across campus. He was also a member Lutheran Students of Appalachian and served as president of the organization during his senior year.

Trent has over 20 years of sales and marketing experience in the consumer-packaged goods industry.  He began his career with Altria Group, Inc. (Philip Morris USA) as a Territory Sales Manager in September 2002.  Trent has over 18 years of leadership experience, serving as a Unit Manager and District Manager, as well as leading Altria’s partnership with top customers as a Senior Account Manager.  He also served as National Manager, Sales Merchandising, Senior Manager of Recruiting and Senior Market Manager.  Trent currently serves as Senior Manager, Digital Strategy and Innovation at Altria Client Services. He teaches Principles of Marketing (MKT3050) online.

Trent holds two Bachelor’s degrees from Appalachian State University. He has Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Management from the Walker College of Business, and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science with a concentration in American Politics from the College of Arts and Sciences.  Trent furthered his education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration from Duke University and The Fuqua School of Business.  In addition, Trent holds certificates from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) – Digital Business Strategy and from IMD – Digital Business Transformation.

Trent is a native of Cleveland, NC and currently resides in Holly Springs, NC with his husband, Hank (ASU Class of 2003, and former ASU Cheerleader) and their two pups.  Trent is an avid runner, a three-time marathon finisher (New York City/Chicago/Marine Corps) and has completed seven half-marathons. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, and is active in his community.
