Milind Patwardhan holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from Pune University (1991). He also has triple master’s degrees in marketing (1996), Computer Science (2003), and Executive M.B.A. in Global Business (2014) from Pune University, City University of Seattle, and the University of Houston, respectively.
Before starting his career in academia, he worked in various industries in positions of marketing management, program management, project management, consulting, and technical leadership roles. He has experience in automation, Information Technology, Operational Technology, Supply Chain management, Reliability, Engineering, Cyber Security, and green technologies in verticals such as oil & gas, chemicals, food & beverages, pharma, utilities, energy, water, sustainability, hydrogen, power, and CPG.
In his 30+ years of professional experience, he has lived and worked in the US, India, Europe, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Saudi Arabia.
Patwardhan's teaching interests include supply chain management, strategic management, leadership, analytics/data management, Industrial Cyber Security, and international management.
He has also provided guidance to not-for-profit organizations, and non-governmental organizations for their sustainability initiatives including Geothermal, Wind, Biogas, and Solar for harnessing green energy.
He has volunteered for several social organizations, including AOL, Habitat for Humanity, Rotary International, Greater Houston Partnership, and Boy Scouts of America.
Patwardhan is a believer in lifelong learning and continued education. He enjoys knowledge sharing discussions in history, culture, philanthropy and philosophy.
Outside of work, he enjoys playing tennis & pickleball, volunteering, traveling, cruises, and exploring new destinations around the world.
